We are looking forward to writing animal descriptions, dialogue, non-fiction linked to our science topic, narrative based on film and imaginary creature descriptions.

We will also be continuing to develop our 'Rainbow Grammar' knowledge and practise our handwriting.

In Maths, we will have skills lessons every week, using and applying our skills lessons and an arithmetic lesson!

Our Science topics will be 'The Earth and Beyond'

and 'Body Health'- where we will be learning about keeping our bodies healthy.

Through our topic work we will be aiming to answer our topic question...

Whilst we're sleeping, what are the Aussies up to?

We will be looking at the physical and human features of Australia

alongside developing our map work skills!

As part of this theme we will be enjoying a visit from Greg Chapman who will be teaching us all about living 'down under' and how to play the didgeridoo!

Art and D.T

In art, we are focusing on Aboriginal Art and developing the mastery of our water colour skills by studying the work of Australian artist, Albert Namatjara.

Our Computing work will, as always, involves work around E-Safety and knowing how to stay safe online. We will also develop our emailing skills and start a class 'blog'.

We will be using ICT in lots of other lessons to help our research and presentation of work.

Music and R.E

Alongside all of this topic work we will be continuing with our French and Music.

Please remember to have your full PE kit in school! The class with the most full school PE kits wins a certificate!

This term we will be focussing on netball, basketball and REAL P.E!

Remember to read every night and get your reading record signed - you will earn a star stamp each time!Image result for star stamp

Also, have a go at reading a book using your BUG CLUB account!

Every Friday Dolphins will be given homework to complete.  Homework should be completed and handed in the following Friday.

Please do your best to support and encourage your child with their schoolwork.

Please make sure you have your reading record with you for the spelling test on Friday.

If you would like to have a chat or pass on any information please feel free to come into class, I will be more than happy to see you. For a lengthier chat please arrange an after school appointment.

Most of all we will be having lots of fun and working hard in class!
