A recount will be written after our visit to Mansfield Museum and we will be writing and performing Firework Poetry.

We will also be building sentences with a subject, predicate and closing punctuation in our 'Rainbow Grammar' work and focusing on letter and number formation in daily handwriting.

In Maths, we will be focusing on place value, addition & subtraction and shape.

Our Science topic will focus on 'Everyday Materials'

Through our topic work we will be aiming to answer our topic question...

Were the Queen's toys better than yours?

Our learning will focus around the similarities and differences in toys today and in the past. There will be an in depth look at toys from the Victorian period of history.

We will be linking our work on toys to where in the world toys originate from.

Art and D.T

In art, we are focusing on the work of the famous artist,

Andy Warhol. We will be designing and creating our own Andy Warhol style piece of work linked to our work on toys.

Our D.T. will have a sculpture focus (clay). We will be learning how to use clay and will be making our very own clay pencil pots.

Our Computing work will, as always, involves work around E-Safety and knowing how to stay safe online. Our main focus will be learning how to use the computer to support our daily work and beginning to use Purple Mash.

We will be using ICT in lots of other lessons to help our research and presentation of work.

Music and R.E

Alongside all of this topic work we will be continuing with our Music; using our new school scheme of work Charanga.

and in RE we are having a theme day with a visit from Reverend Caroline to talk to us about families.
