Red Nose Day is Friday 15th March (wear something silly for £1)

Friends of Crescent Primary School

Welcome!

Friends of Crescent are a group of parents, staff and members of the local community who volunteer their time to meet together informally to talk about forthcoming fundraising events and ideas for the future.

Information on up and coming events will be posted on this page and publicised in the school newsletter as they are arranged.

We welcome new parents/carers to join us and help school organise fundraising events such as Summer & Christmas Fairs, Clothing collections, Disco's, Easter raffles etc..

We also work closely with School Ambassadors who keep us up-to-date with the views of all the children in school and how we can help support them with their ideas.

Our next meeting date is:-

 Will be confirmed shortly

Do come along to see for yourself how you can help us with our fundraising events.  It's also a chance to meet new faces, make new friends, have a cuppa and biscuit!

All the help we receive in school from volunteers for our fundraising events has a direct impact on the success of them, as you will see from photographs of our fabulous events displayed on our Friends of Crescent Notice Boards, in the school newsletter and in school's reception area!

School budgets are very tight and there just isn't enough money to spend on things like books and ICT equipment.  In the past the Friends of Crescent Primary group have fundraised enough money to purchase:

  • Trim Trail
  • Outdoor classroom
  • Ipads
  • Laptops
  • Books
  • 2 x baby belling cookers
  • Many treats /prizes for the children throughout the year and at Easter and Christmas time

This year we are focussing on fundraising for more new ICT equipment for the children as well as new reading books and setting up of a new sensory room.

Your help and support is vital.

We greatly appreciate all of your helping hands and hard work and are looking forward to our next meeting where the group will be sharing ideas and planning for future fundraising events.

A HUGE thank you once again to everyone for your continued help and support.

Raise money for Crescent Primary School when you shop online (at no extra cost to you!)

We have joined a fundraising initiative which will help raise much needed funds for the school and it couldn’t be simpler for you to help!

Whenever you buy anything online, you could be raising a free donation for Crescent Primary School. So far over £9 million has been raised through easyfundraising.org.uk for good causes throughout the UK.

There are nearly 3000 retailers including Amazon, John Lewis, Aviva, thetrainline and Sainsbury’s who will give a free donation to the school every time you shop with them online and the best bit is that it doesn’t cost you a penny extra. Sign up at https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/crescentprimaryschool/ and collect free donations on all your shopping, supermarket shops, travel and much more.

If you shop on your mobile or tablet, get the free easyfundraising app and you’ll never miss a donation. To get it, visit the App Store or Google Play and search ‘easyfundraising’ or find more here: www.easyfundraising.org.uk/raise-more/easyfundraising-app

How it works….

1. Start at easyfundraising

Let’s say you want to buy a book from Amazon. Instead of going to Amazon.co.uk directly, you first go to easyfundraising.org.uk

2. Make a purchase

From the easyfundraising website, click through to Amazon to make your purchase. This tells Amazon you came from easyfundraising. The price of the book is exactly the same.

3. Get a donation

After you buy your book, Amazon will make a donation for your good cause. Easyfundraising automatically collect this and send it on to the school at no extra cost.

4. Get the easyfundraising Donation Reminder

You can skip steps 1 and 2 with the easyfundraising Donation Reminder. Just click the reminder when you shop to receive any eligible donations. You’ll never forget a free donation again!

Pretty much anything that you buy online could be helping our school.
