Impact

The impact of successful science teaching and curriculum at Crescent Primary will result in a fun, engaging, high quality science education, that provides children with the foundations for understanding the world that they can take with them. ‘Crescent Values’ curriculum driver We want the children to retain scientific knowledge and be able to question ideas and reflect on knowledge that they have gained. They are encouraged to be able to articulate their understanding of scientific concepts and be able to reason scientifically using vocabulary linked to science.

They will use a range of skills linked to other areas of the curriculum such as organising, recording and interpreting results., working collaboratively and practically to investigate and experiment. 'Creating Connections’ curriculum driver We want the children to achieve age related expectations in Science at the end of their cohort year. A monitoring and triangulation timetable is in place to identify and rectify any issues that arise to ensure that the children receive the most effective provision.
