Christmas Jumper Day - Friday 13 December

consultation on proposed school term and holiday dates

Nottinghamshire County Council is currently consulting on proposed school term and holiday dates from 2023/2024 until 2026/2027 for community and voluntary controlled schools. The consultation is now open and will run between 1 March 2021 and 2 May 2021.

We’d be grateful if you could complete the consultation and share this with school staff, parents and carers, who can complete it using the link below. This will allow us to consider the views of all consultees and ensure they are incorporated into the consultation feedback report, which will be considered by Members at the Children and Young People’s Committee on 19 July 2021.

The Council is proposing two options:

  • Option A follows the current model, which includes 2 weeks for the October half term break, a fixed spring break (generally the first two weeks in April) and approximately 5 weeks for the summer holiday (Appendix 1).
  • Option B proposes 2 weeks for the October half term break, a varied spring break and slight changes to the start and end dates for the academic year (Appendix 2).
The consultation also includes free text boxes for any comments.
