School Information

Crescent Primary School was formed in 2001 by amalgamating the former Bull Farm First School with the newer buildings previously occupied by Bull Farm Middle School. There is capacity in the Primary School for 410 children aged 5 – 11 and 78 children attending part time in the Foundation Unit. Children are admitted into main school at the beginning of September after their fourth birthday.  Our current planned admission number (PAN) is 60.

We currently have a Foundation Unit for 3-4 year olds 'Hedgehogs' (part-time) and 2 reception classes (F2) 'Foxes' and 'Robins'. 4 KS1 classes ' 'Dolphins' Y1 'Jellyfish' Y1 Starfish' Y2 and 'Turtles' Y2,  7 KS2 classes 'Flamingos' Y3, 'Puffins' Y3, 'Wolves' Y4, 'Crocodiles' 4', 'Jaguars' Y5  'Tigers' Y5, 'Snow Leopards' Y6, 'Lions' Y6.


The school is part of the Queen Elizabeth family of schools. The children transfer at the end of Year 6 to the secondary school of choice eg.Queen Elizabeth Academy & All Saints Catholic Voluntary Academy.


School hours

Foundation Unit times:

Morning session - 8.40 a.m. to 11.40 a.m

Afternoon session - 12.20 p.m. to 3.20 p.m


Main School times:

Starts at 8.50 a.m

Main school finishes at 3.10 p.m

At 8.50 a.m the outer doors are closed for security reasons. Parents and visitors to the school should enter by the front reception door, after pressing the buzzer to gain entry and reporting to the office.

There is a break of 50 minutes for lunch, 12.00 noon – 12.50 p.m.

Afternoon break for KS1 only is 2 - 2.10pm

We offer a daily Breakfast Club 'Early Birds' for £1.50 a day from 7.30 am until school starts. Children are supervised by 2 members of staff and can start the day off well by eating a wide range of healthy breakfast foods. Please email Miss Nijjar to book your child on.


We also offer a 'free' Homework Club from 3.15 - 4.30pm Every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday for children to be able to complete their homework alongside a Teaching Assistant using school resources and IT equipment. Currently due to Covid-19 homework club is not running and will be reviewed next half term.
