By the end of their Crescent journey our linguists will listen for longer to authentic French language text picking out cognates and familiar words. When speaking, children can recall previously learnt language and incorporate it with new language with increased speed and accuracy. Crescent linguists will be able to engage in short conversations on familiar topics, responding with opinions and justifications where appropriate. Reading of unknown words will be tackled with the phonics knowledge learnt. Furthermore, children will also be able to decode unknown language using bilingual dictionaries. Our primary linguists will be writing pieces of text incorporating verbs, conjunction and adjectives. Their grammar understanding of gender and nouns has further developed, become familiar with a wide range of conjunctions.
